Please visit us at the VolleyWrite booth (#251) at the Minneapolis Convention Center on Thursday, December 13, Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15.
We are getting everything ready to make this year’s trip a success!
We look forward to meeting up with our friends and customers!
Come let us know how your season went!
We have a gift to help you get ready for Christmas! See you there!
This year marked the first time the state of Colorado used VolleyWrite to score its state tournament. The CHSAA held their tournament on Nov. 8, 9 and 20 at the Denver Coliseum. The floor had 5 courts set up (one for each division), so there was a lot going on!!
We’re looking forward to helping out again next year!
I had the opportunity to use VolleyWrite to score a DI NCAA Women’s volleyball match recently, and I had an interesting experience. Try your luck at reading this lineup!! It’s quite a challenge!
Unfortunately, the lineup was submitted late and it was so hard to read!! Oh the joys of keeping score!!
Look for the next post to get a hint and the answer!!
Chris Wakefield, coach of the West End High School volleyball team in Richmond, VA, hosted a 24-team JV tournament at the Richmond Volleyball Club on Saturday, October 13th. The varsity players scored on the 8 courts using VolleyWrite, and it was a success!!
Don’t you wish your scorer was this happy scoring your matches?
Good volleyball and good scoring make for smooth sailing. It’s all good…
If you get a chance, stop by the Richmond Volleyball Club at 200 Karl Linn Drive in Henrico, Virginia on Saturday, October 13.
The West End Classic Girls JV Volleyball Tournament will have 24 teams playing on 8 courts, all scored with the Windows version of VolleyWrite!
Chris Wakefield is a long-time VolleyWrite scorer and we are happy to reciprocate some support! Good luck to all the teams involved!
In the Server Verification bubble, VolleyWrite requires you to indicate whether the correct player has contacted the serve. When the correct player contacts the serve, click the YES button ON CONTACT so you don’t get behind.
I recently observed someone who chose to answer the question after the point was awarded. Unfortunately, she got behind, and recorded the score incorrectly and missed a substitution. I helped her get back on track, but it could have been easily avoided.
Also, if you are not scoring with a touch screen, please use a mouse, because for most people, that is fastest.
We’ve all heard that humans are
creatures of habit.
But in the last half of the 20th century, humans have also become
creatures of convenience.
Why do I say that?:
1. Although I am physically capable of getting out of my car to open and close my garage door, I have a garage door opener do it for me.
2. Although I can get off my butt and walk about 4 steps to the television, you’d better believe that I use a remote control!
We already can’t imagine life without these conveniences!
Nobody whips out a pen and paper to do math any more – they use a calculator
…because it’s fast, accurate and convenient.
That same argument can be made about VolleyWrite!
Let us know what you think!
Congrats to all of the Ohio high schools who competed in the final post-season tournament at Wright State University’s Nutter Center, and to Ursuline Academy (D I), Padua Franciscan (D II), Versailles (D III) and New Bremen (D IV) who took home state titles! All matches were scored with VolleyWrite, and this year, as it should have been, there was no excitement except on the court!
And special thanks to the folks behind the scenes, especially at the scoring table scoring with VolleyWrite!
It was another great year at the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches clinic at Westerville Central High School in Columbus! It is so nice to talk to people who have been using VolleyWrite (happily) and show them the changes for the coming season. We have the best scorers ever!!
There were approximately 50 coaches at the KVCA clinic at Kentucky Country Day in Louisville. We want to make a difference for scorers in Kentucky and Michigan, like we do for scorers in Ohio, Tennessee and Massachusetts. We hope the offer we presented is enough to get them to at least give VolleyWrite a try! We know they’re gonna LOVE it! 🙂
